google drive: 'email file' not working on Safari 11.1.2

Hello!

Google Docs and Sheets are suddenly not allowing me to 'email file' on Safari 11.1.2 - the send button is greyed out, and the email address auto-suggest feature isn't working? See attached partial screenshots...

Also, If I click the 'Share' button, my screen just goes semi-opaque. The Share box doesn't open...

If anyone can assist please?

MacBook Pro 17″, OS X 10.11

PS. It works just fine on Chrome on the same machine (MacBook Pro 2009 El Capitan 10.11.6)...
