Has anyone else experienced interference issues with their airtag and a key fob on their key ring?
I have a Mercedes key fob with my airtag. When I go to find my keys, I keep getting the “signal is weak” screen. If I remove my fob from my key ring, set it aside and test again, it works fine.

Exact same issues with a Mercedes key fob and also a Nissan key fob.
We bought 2 airbags for our keys to help find them when lost & rushing about.
Changed batteries in both key fobs but we can’t use either of them.
Had used Tile for years with no issues too :(
I had to ultimately get my car’s key fob replaced. Took it to the shop and they tested it, and it was completely dead. This was after I installed a new battery. I’m tempted to put the air tag back on my keys so I can pin point if it was an air tag issue or a key fob issue, but I really don’t want to pay another $87.00 out of pocket for a new fob if it stops working again.

To start, any type of metal has a very high interference potential for your Bluetooth connection. The materials used in your key fob are most likely contributing to this behavior. Have a look at this link to learn more:

So basically, we can’t use the tag on a set of keys that has a fob?
Bummer. That was the main reason I bought one. I’m always losing my keys. Would it completely fry a key fob? The one I had attached to my key near the air tag no longer works. So, I’ve put the air tag on my purse.
I have a similar issue, I got the air tags and sometimes the car could not see the fob not detected, would not unlock or start two different fobs and I replaced the batteries of the fobs. Its like its interference, works sometimes and others it does not.
I am gonna stop using the airtags and see if the problem goes away.

If your fob is emitting a frequency that interferes with the Airtag, which yours apparently does, no.
It hasn't fried my BMW fob (which also does not interfere). You might want to talk to your dealer.
I’ve just learned to live with it. It will work if I’m close enough, so I’ll just have to rely on that.
