Battling the inability to comp like you can with audio. Now that I've comped the midi using the scissor tool, can I turn these all into one midi file to adjust things with more ease? Many thanks.

Then you have to flatten or unpack or what ever it’s called before you glue the regions.
Sorry for the guessing answer, I don’t and won’t use take folders.
You can try use either the context menu or the functions menu to batch process all the regions at once.
Functions > Folder > unpack take folder
Merge several midi take folders on one track - but remain as midi
