I am using OSX Yosemite 10:10:5 No updates-Do I have to buy another computer?

Have a complete backup prior to performing the upgrade.

Use only Safari to perform the download. No other browser.

If you upgrade to Catalina, you will need to find and update all apps to 64-bit. Mojave is the last version that can support both the older 32-bit apps, and the newer 64-bit apps. This includes Office 2011 and earlier, which will not work on macOS after Mojave; on Catalina and later. To find these apps, you can use the tool Go64.

Big Sur macOS 11 is not supported on this Mac.

What computer do you currently have (iMac, MacBook Pro, etc) and what model year? You can find both at Apple menu > About This Mac.

I have the same problem. I am personnally using a MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2012).

I actually would like to know if it is possible to update to OS 11 or higher.
