Mac Pro 2019 digital Audio Input/Output (for 7.1 level Surround Sound) prosumer level.
There is a sad lack of Apple audio PCIe (or other) interface connectivity available... from Apple. Very Sad! I remember when the Mac was the "go to" system for print, video and audio. Well, print is no longer the focus... the web has taken over. video interface are either "high end" professional systems or all based on WEB video... Audio (by Apple) has rotted on the tree and (apparently) died. So, what do we have left from Apple? Just vague references to PCIe audio interconnect capabilities without any actual references. Why? And why is Apple ignoring this area of the market? Oh, yeah... iPhones, iPads, HomePods, etc which are neat but do not offer fully immersive surround sound using multiple drivers attenuated to specific frequencies aligned to the 7.1 surround specifications. So, how about it Apple? Can't you at least provide a reference link to other manufacturers' products designated to work with the Mac Pro for full audio output plus input? Can you not provide a level of sound for "the rest of us" (not professionally focused on high-end audio I/O editing) desiring a I/O audio better than a simple "stereo" output jack? AT THE VERY LEAST APPLE... please provide a reference link to other manufacturers' products that will work.
