My iPad Pro stopped connecting to the internet. It will not connect at home or at

Starbucks. What can be done short of replacing the ipad?

Hi vincefromsacramento,

Thanks for following up. Just a few more questions.

Is your iPad updated to the latest software version?

We would suggest restarting your Wi-Fi network (modem, router, network equipment). Though your network appears active, power cycling your network equipment may resolve conflicts it is having in communicating with the iPad.

Has this network been working with other devices?

Next, have you tried resetting network settings on the iPad as well? Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. You will need to reconnect to the Wi-Fi once this is complete.

Finally, do you have any VPN or security software installed on your iPad? If so, try disabling or uninstalling these services and see if you can connect to the internet again.

Let us know the results of these steps! Thank you kindly!

Hi vincefromsacramento,

Thanks for reaching out using Apple Support Communities. We understand you are having trouble connecting to Wi-Fi networks on your iPad Pro. Here to help!

You mentioned you are having trouble at multiple locations. Could you tell us what it looks like when you try to connect to Wi-Fi? Are you able to enable Wi-Fi in Settings > Wifi? Do you see the nearby networks? If you do see the nearby networks and try to connect, are you seeing any error messages?

Additionally, is your iPad Pro updated to the latest version of iOS? Updating to the latest software can resolve network compatibility issues, so this is worth checking. If an update is needed, you can use a computer to update the iPad. For steps on updating using a computer, see the article below.

Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Please follow up with more information on what happens when you try to connect to Wi-Fi networks, and we will do our best to help.

Take care for now!
