In earlier versions of Photos you could save a still frame from the actions menu when playing the Video.
- In the Photos app
on your Mac, double-click the video clip to open it. - Position the pointer over the clip to display the player controls, then click the Action pop-up menu
and choose "Save Still Frame".
On the iPhone, play the video and save a screenshot to Photos.
