iPhone 📱 battery 🔋 health 💊

I know since I got my MacBook that I’ve been a lot more conscientious about how long my devices are plugged in/charging (careful not to leave them plugged in after they’re done charging etc) out of fear of the dreaded day that my MacBook’s battery will go from “normal” state to whatever follows.. I’m assuming it’s fair condition, right?

What all can I do to maintain the battery health of my iPhone? does anyone have any secret tips/tricks to extend the life of an iPhone?

I know that since phone batteries are much smaller in size, they start to dwindle a LOT faster just by nature when comparing to a laptop battery. there’s nothing more annoying than having to plug your phone in literally EVERY single dang hour.

let me know if you guys have any insight! Thank you

Here's a list of things I do to prolong the life of my iPhone battery.

  1. Keep the display dark mode
  2. Never let the battery drop below 25%
  3. Keep the phone cool never leave it in a hot environment.
  4. Kill all the apps that are running in the background.
  5. Turn location services off. (Mind you this will effect apps that need that function: Maps)
  6. Turn off Bluetooth, Airdrop. Also turn Cellular data off when you're in your home network and remember to turn cellular data back on when you travel and turn the WiFi off.

These are just some of the things that I do to prolong the life of my battery on my iPhone 11.

  • The Bluetooth module uses very little, unnoticeably little, battery.
  • Apple has said that Swiping away Apps has zero effect.
  • iPhone 11 has an LCD display. For dark or light mode, the entire display must be lit anyway, so it makes no difference. On an OLED iPhone, Dark Mode might help battery life, but not health.

Cheers,
