Immediately after updating to Big Sur 11.3 on M1 Mac mini, Podcasts keeps asking for Apple ID, but apparently doesn't accept the ID/password combination, because it goes back to asking for Apple ID.
I am signed into iCloud and Apple TV with the same ID/password that Podcasts won't accept. The first unsuccessful login to Podcasts was after logging into iCloud but before logging into TV.
I just talked to Apple. To fix this issue, sign out of your apple ID on your iPhone (remember check the boxes to save everything to iCloud), and then sign back in.
