Podcast Connect asking me to activate Apple ID that has already been activated

I've been using Apple Podcast Connect for a few years now. Today when I signed, I get a message telling me I have to finish activating my Apple ID before I can use Podcast Connect, even though that was done years ago. I added a payment method, etc., back then when I first established the account.


Same thing is happening with a second account for a second podcast that I established a few months ago.


I click "add a valid payment method" anyway just to make sure the payment method is there and I get stuck in a loop. It asks me to log into Apple Music and when I do I just get presented with the login window again.


I am doing this on a MacBook Pro.

Make sure that your computer is authorised to play iTunes/Apple Music purchases. It might help to download a free app. You should get to a point where you will be asked to accept the Terms and Conditions, so Ok that.
