Hi All,
I am using iPhone x with the latest version IOS 14.5.
My face id was working fine before the update and also was working after the update.
As of today, faceID stopped working. I tried to reset the face id.
When I tried to set up the face id, it keeps on saying move iPhone higher/lower.
I tried to reset/restart my iPhone but still the same.
Would be greatly appreciated if this issue can be resolved quickly.

Hello apple store told me that faceid sensor is not working any more. The genius bar in los gatos suggested is to replace the phone for $399 or wait for the next software version.
I waited for latest version yesterday 14.6 but it is still NOT fixed.
I have same issue. After I updated my iPhone XR to 14.5, Face ID stopped working.
Cleaned camera, upgraded to 14.5.1, tried reseting Face ID but it keeps telling me camera is low or high or Face ID not available
tried Apple chat support - there typical answer is factory reset
sny thing else I should try.
I was able to get an apple advisor but the issue did not fix.
Apple advisor told me that to get a technician to diagnose the phone.
But this issue is only related when I have updated my iPhone X to ios 14.5.
I don't know if there is anything else to try?
