Anyone had any luck connecting a Philips 326P1H LCD with USB-C monitor to a MacBook Pro?

Hi geeks n peeps!

Just got a Philips 326P1H LCD 32" monitor and am trying to connect it as a secondary display to my MacBook Pro (15" 2018) running MacOS 10.15.7 (Catalina) with the USB-C ports of each device.

IS there a particular driver I need? (Downloaded & installed a zip file from Philips that unpacked as "Realtek...") and restarted but getting nothing.

Cant even get the actual monitor to select the USB-C input (I can toggle to it using the buttons at the bottom left of the screen, but it won't respond when I hit the physical "OK" button.

At my wits end! Any ideas greatly appreciated! Thanks a mill!

Hi scoutiepops,

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you're having an issue with connecting an external monitor to your MacBook Pro. We're happy to help.

We recommend starting with the steps in the article here: Use an external display with your MacBook Pro as well as Use external monitors with your Mac

If the issue continues, check out the steps here: Get help with video issues on external displays connected to your Mac This includes checking for any macOS updates available, and restarting your Mac with the display connected to test.

We also recommend testing while booted to safe mode if the issue remains. Start up your Mac in safe mode

Best!
