Accidentally changed my Apple ID email

Hello!

I accidentally changed my main apple ID into my daughter's email address, thinking I would be able to change my old iphone's apple ID that way. I was supposed to give her my old iphone (5s). Now my own iphone (iphone6) bears her email address. I want to revert it to my own email.

What should i do?

Thank you!

Apple hasn’t published any guidance for using an address again. Normally, if your e-mail address was associated with an ID in any way, for example as a Notification email address or a Rescue e-mail address, then it can't be reused with another Apple ID for approximately one year. I have also seen posts that stated Apple told them there was a 30 day waiting period before the address could be used again.  You will need to get another e-mail address to use as your Apple ID or you can try waiting 30 days to see if that works.

Thank you for your response --it was informative.

Though, I have a follow up question, maybe you can also enlighten me.

I have already entered a new email address yesterday but i still could not remove my daughter's email address.

I was expecting to see a button that would give me an option to make the new email as 'Primary'.

Thank you in advance for your help!
