Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

I'm trying to sign into a device that is new to me, but it is asking for a passcode that I do not know.

I'm trying to sign into an Ipad that is asking me for a passcode that I do not have. What do I need to do ?

If it is a used iPad, you will probably run into Activation Lock which requires the Apple ID and Password of the original owner. Without that info, you will never be able to use the device. Return for your money back or recycle the device at any Apple Store.

If it is simply the Passcode that you lack, this link may help you restore the iPad...

If you forgot the passcode on your iPad, or your iPad is disabled - Apple Support
