Iphone 4 secretly send SMS to +44 7786205094

After registering my iPhone 4 it secretly sends SMS to +44 7786205094 several times. The SMS are not shown in the SMS app. But my carrier charges me 13 ct per SMS. From my carrier I got the adress phone number of the SMS.
How can I stop the secret SMS sending?

Hallo,

habe dasselbe Problem in Österreich. Bin ebenfalls bei t-mobile (nehme an, das ist Dein Provider) und mehrmals wurden SMS an diese Nummer versandt. Kostet in meinem vertrag sogar 25 Cent pro SMS. Hast Du irgendwas rausfinden können? Hast Du einen Verdacht, dass eine App das im Hintergrund verursacht?

Just got a hint what probably causes this SMS: it's when you have FaceTime activated via your carrier (in this case T-Mobile) - can be fount in settings: phone: facetime. Everytime you try to make a FaceTime call via carrier (not upon WiFi), the iPhone 4 seems to send an SMS to that suspicious UK located number. Don't know if this is caused by Apple or the provider (T-Mobile says they don't know about it). Maybe someone can find out?!?

Regards,

It's not related to sending facetime, it's done on every reboot of the iphone.

It's going to get expensive for those that switch off every night.. also not sure I'm keen on apple being sent information about every iphone in the world each time they're rebooted..

Hi there,

I am in Germany and I got the same problem with my iPhone 4. I realized that my phone had been sending these secret messages to +44 7786205094 (13ct each) about a month ago when my carrier had already charged me 3,25 euro for them. I read a few articles about it on the internet saying I should turn off FaceTime which I did. Since then it got even worse. My phone sends about 3 to 9 messages to that number p e r h o u r and I just cant stop it from doing it! I never switch off my phone, so it cant be from rebooting. This is seriously starting to **** me off, since I contacted my mobile phone service provider and they told me they had nothing to do with it and refused to stop charging me for these texts. I cant even block this number.

Would be great if someone could help!

Best regards

Katharina

This is still an ongoing process. I verified and same happens from Vodafone Portugal in January 2016:

User uploaded file

Due to a software bug, virus, ... or a misfunction touchscreen, I installed 4 times a brand new image into an iPhone 5s. Result 0,20 eur per sms.

Who is collecting all money generated by these SMSs?

Your carrier is.

If you are using a supported carrier ( Wireless carrier support and features for iPhone in the United States and Canada - Apple Support ) contact them and make sure they have your account properly provisioned for an iPhone.

If you are using an unsupported carrier, well... that's one of the pitfalls of using an unsupported carrier.
