Why aren’t my AirPods connecting together ?

My AirPods aren’t working left and right aren’t connecting together I have tried everything cleaning them forgetting the device and reconnecting forgetting the device for days and then connecting again it hasn’t worked please send feed back on what I can do when you can thank you
