Siri can't find applemusic

Siri can't find apple music anymore. I noticed first on my homepod, but just tried on iphone & ipad - and same issue. She just says can't find (whatever I ask for) on apple music.

If I go direct into the apple music ap, I can play anything without an issue. But I have to use airplay to have it play on my hompods

It all worked fine up until a few hours ago. All devices software are uptodate.

I have rebooted my router, and both homepods (because I assumed it was an issue with them to start)

My subscription is current, and I can manually play anything via the music ap. I just can't get Siri to find anything on apple music any more.

Any ideas?

On the phone w Apple for hours yesterday. Reset all my HomePods, Watch, TV, uninstalled ‘Home’ app etc etc

Based on my own tests concluded fairly early on that this is an issue with Siri/Apple Music and is not related to devices etc. ( Possibly a product of the 14.5/.51 iOS Updates)

The posts here corroborate that multiple customers are experiencing the same issue. It’s incumbent on Apple to remediate. Im not interested in spending more of my own time debugging/beta testing for Apple. Appreciate their efforts yesterday which fully demonstrated that this is not a problem with my devices or any user configurable attributes.

Yep, same here - it kinda came on my set of HomePods like a virus. Really. First a HomePod in my bedroom could be 'seen' in the Home app, and had music played 'thru' it, but would not take any musical direction. All results were versions of "I can't find (fill in the blank, either an artist, a song or a personal playlist) that on Apple Music."

BUT!, my other HomePod mini's and HomePod (I have two Pod's and three PodMini's) worked fine.

...for a few days or more.

Now within 72 hours, all of my HomePod's are acting this way. My iPhone still searches and plays whatever I ask.

My issue is with the HomePods - I've tried rebooting them, unplugging them, and will now try a full reset of, at least, one of them, but this 'feels' like a service issue or something other than an issue with one and then all of the devices...

Just throwing my 2 pennies into this, latest, mystery.

Happening to me too - started last night. Same issue across my three HomePods (sharing the same Apple Music Family Subscription). Siri plays my purchased music just fine and Airplay + other Home commands (e.g. lights) work like normal. I've restarted all HomePods to no effect. Most frustrating. My Apple Music subscription is fine, I can play anything from the Music app on my iPhone just fine. My HomePods are all up to date with the latest software (possibly this is the culprit)
