Multiple appleid for iCloud and imessage
How do I make sure my iMessages get backed up if my appleid for iMessage is different then my iCloud. They need to be separate so that my family is not getting my iMessages.

We’d be happy to help!
We do recommend that each person has their own Apple ID for all of their devices. You can look into Set up Family Sharing so that your family can have an Apple ID for each person and still be connected for certain things.
If you’d like to keep sharing the Apple ID, we’d recommend looking at About backups for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch for what is backed up and what is not.
