Can the iCloud drive be used as backup space for PC backups and images. In other words, when regular backups are scheduled can the destination drive be the iCloud drive? If yes, how to set up. If no, why not?
(I am paying for additional cloud space for my family - 200GB total - and if it cannot be used for backups then I don't need more than the free amount.)
iCloud services are not like a hard drive in the sky, or set up for bulk data storage like other cloud services. It is really designed for syncing between hardware. I know this is nuanced, and iCloud Drive can be used to recover files should a hardware item fail, but it really isn't designed to act like a hard drive.
