no previous problems with Apple Watch 3 or 4 watch sports strap
Apple Watch 6 strap caused an extreme reaction. According to apple, I should have read the ingredients in the strap???????? Very poor customer service. Can only replace with the same
Do you still have the OLD straps? If so, switch an old band to the new watch.
You might want to try a washing of the new band in a solution of Dish Soap and warm water? I would also suggest you elevate your CALL and concern to Apple Support for a different model band.
