Search screen to attach file for Apple mail

When I go to attach a file to my email, the screen now breaks up documents by different categories, Today, yesterday, previous 7 and 30 days, last year, and earlier. I just want a list of documents, not the broken up list. Most of what I'm looking for gets put at the bottom in "earlier" even though I just created the pdf. How do I get my search when I hit the "attach" button on Apple Mail to go back to just a regular list?

iMac, macOS 10.12

In the Attachment panel for Apple Mail compose (Mojave). This will show all objects by name and not by timeframe. You should also select List or Column view if you do not want the icon view.
