macOS BIGSUR

Have anyone lived any serious inconveniences Updating to macOS BIGSUR version like I did ??

iMac 21.5″, macOS 10.13

Your signature indicates one well known inconvenience. 32 bit applications are not supported by Big Sur or Catalina.

Until all your applications are known to be compatible with 64 bit architecture, it is best to not go above Mojave.

I think the question is one that is metaphorically speaking. Big Sur is inconvenient for those who need to upgrade to 64 bit applications. Both on the pocketbook, and on the need to maintain two operating systems until all applications that are mission critical are upgraded.


Catalina has the same inconvenience.


Other than those "inconveniences" a major one I would mention is there no longer are updates you can download from the website, and all updates must be downloaded from the Software Update software. This can be problematic where internet connections are flaky.
