Magic Trackpad Erratic Movement

Just bought and installed Magic Trackpad on my iMac. Paired the trackpad, installed the software with Software Update. But then the cursor movement has been erratic. The cursor jumps on the screen randomly and "taps" itself. Fortunately I can still use my Magic Mouse so I have to disconnect the trackpad.

Anyone with a similar experience? Any solution?

I have the 2016 MacBook 12" and am experiencing something similar - when I get my MacBook too close to a digital picture frame power supply, the trackpad action is erratic. Move it away just enough, it works perfectly again. This issue is not isolated to the Magic Trackpad - there's got to be some electronic components inside these trackpads that's being affected by RF/EM interference.

No permanent fix for this other than "then don't go near the power supply." I would suppose a recall would be too much to ask for.
