How to fix Mac Mini Saturation problem

I recently switched to the M1 Mac Mini for my video work (using Davinci Resolve).

At first, everything seemed normal until I exported a color-graded project from the Mac Mini. The project looks completely fine on the Mac Mini connected to my LG 27UL500 monitor, however, once I watched it on my 2017 Macbook Pro it was way too dark and oversaturated. I also got the same result from watching it on my iMac.

Even comparing RAW footage on the Mac Mini and the Macbook Pro you can see a visible difference. I thought it might the monitor might be the problem, however, I connected the monitor to my Macbook and got the same look as the built-in Macbook Retina display. I even played around with color profiles on the LG Monitor as well as in the display color settings in System Preferences.

It seems that the Mac Mini default color profile is different compared to all other Apple products I own. The difference isn't a lot but has a large impact on the kind of work I do. Any ideas on what it could be and how I can fix it?

Hello Tvenzin,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. From your post, it seems when you use a specific app that it looks different when watching on other Mac computers. We'll do what we can to help.

The only setting that controls the color profile on a Mac is in System Preferences: Change your Mac display’s color profile

If it's still not working like you expect, try seeing if using a different app changes the color profile to what you expect to narrow it down.

Thanks and have a wonderful day.
