You don't.
You can re-download any purchased music from the iTunes Store to iTunes on your MacBook Air at no charge. Anything else should already be in the iTunes library on your computer.

Where is your music stored? What kind of MP3 player did you have in mind?
I have an old MacBook and I am trying to download into a Finis MP3 player
Ask the manufacturer of the device. That's not an Apple product.

I just downloaded Big Sur. It didn’t download my iTunes.

But none my old songs showed up
