Bluetooth Problem, robotic voice

Hi,

I have a pair of Jabra 85t Bluetooth Headphones.

They worked perfectly until now, but since yesterday everyone tells me i sound robotic. They still work perfect on other devices like my android phone, but i sound robotic in my 2020 Macbook Pro.

I read several posts and i tried the following things:

  • turning bluetooth off and closing all the apps that use bluetooth.
  • deleting paired device and pairing again.

This didnt solve the problem.

What can I do?

I use the Jabras for work, all day long.

"Robotic" may be telling you the sound data are being compressed so much that nuances of your voice are lost. This could be caused by limited bandwidth.

Bluetooth uses the same frequencies as 2.4GHz Wi-Fi (but uses frequency-hopping to avoid colliding directly with Wi-Fi data). 2.4GHz is subject to interference from many random sources AND from USB-3 devices that are not adequately shieleded.

If I depended on a speaking/listening device all day long, I would choose something that connects with cables, such as via USB.
