Ipod nano (gen 7) not syncing with podcast.

I can't get my iPod nano gen 7 to sync with my podcasts. I've found it in Finder, but I can't get access to my podcast (or my music) through Finder. I can put music on the iPod via Music, but no luck at all with podcasts. Or Finder. What do I do?

Hello tatj89,

It sounds like you're running into an issue syncing podcasts to your iPod nano (7th generation), and we'd like to help.

"If you have an iPod classic, iPod nano, or iPod shuffle, you must sync your device with your Mac to add podcasts and other content to it." More about that here: Sync podcasts between your Mac and iPhone or iPad

For more details on syncing content from your Mac to your iPod nano, please check out this link: Overview to syncing your Mac and your devices

If the information and steps in the above links doesn't help, would you mind confirming the exact macOS version your Mac is running at this time, so we can look into this further? Find out which macOS your Mac is using

Thanks!

I have the exact same problem with two different iPod shuffles. I'm trying to sync podcasts to them from an iMac with the latest Big Sur - 11.3.1. I've been syncing podcasts to these two iPods for several years with no problem until today, when no podcasts appear in the "Podcasts" tab of the finder for the devices. The only change since the last time I synced (last week) was the update to 11.3.1 from 11.3.0. Music appress to be fine, it is only the podcasts that are not showing up.
