To get the easy part out of the way up front, you aren't addressing Apple here. This is a USER to USER forum. Other Apple users helping users. Hiya!

That aside, it sounds like you are attempting to sign into an older device, and your Apple ID has 2 Factor Authentication security. This is great, it helps keep your Apple ID safe and secure. However, older devices aren't 100% compatible with 2 Factor, but they can still sign in using a method called a decorated password. Before you attempt to sign into your old device, on one of your current devices (Running iOS 12 or later for the purposes of this discussion) go to SETTINGS > YOUR NAME > PASSWORD & SECURITY > 'GET VERIFICATION CODE'. This will provide you a 6 digit code. Take the provided code and add it to the end of your password as you key it in on the old device.

Example password: password12

Example Verification code provided: 587491

Password entered on old device would then be: password12587491

Let us know if that works out.
