AirPods Pro and GarageBand

Hello! I'm trying to record audio with GarageBand 10.4.3 using my AirPods Pro on an iMac Pro 2017 running macOS Big Sur 11.3.1. Everything is set up correctly, from system preferences to app preferences, and the AirPods Pro are selected for input and output. Nevertheless, GarageBand keeps giving me an error message that says "No Input Selected". Looking it up on the internet, it seems to be a known issue since 2020. Has it already been corrected? Thanks.

AirPods Bad Sound Quality on Mac Hello all! I'm having that issue with bad sound quality on MacOS Catalina with brand new Airpods Pro. When a program uses the microphone while I'm listening to music, say in my browser or Spotify, the audio output becomes VERY low quality all of a sudden (I'm talking OLD PHONE RECEIVER quality right here, folks) Anyway, I've tried to switch the input from the airpods to my mac instead: no dice. I've tried turning them off and on, again, guys, I tried that. So, if it's a hardware issue, that's REALLY bad. Very disappointing indeed. Can't user external mic input and AirPods output at the same time. I have a MacBook Air M1 and GarageBand 10.4.8. When I use an external mic plugged into the 1/8" jack, no audio output goes go my AirPods. I select the right things in GB Input and Output Settings, but the output doesn't reach my AirPods. If I unplug the mic, it works. Is their any fix/setting/workaround for this?

Logic Pro X not recognizing input on Catalina - AirPods? I was going to do a quick record of a story for my kids and opened Logic Pro X for the first time since updating to Catalina. I put in my AirPods, selected them as the IO devices and went to record. I got the error "no input selected" and went to the strip to check that the input was set properly. But I was given no option. On the strip I could only select "No Input" or a bus, which wasn't appropriate. I tried several times, creating new projects and opened GarageBand to see if it behaved the same. It did - "no input" there as well and no option to select one. If I disconnect the AirPods, I can record in LPX using the built in mic. Obviously this is a low quality recording and OK for the kids story; but the AirPods usually capture less room noise. Is there an issue/fix for working with AirPods on Catalina? Thanks for any help.
