Hi there. I’m considering buying Airtags for myself and my kids. In my opinion, for safety reasons, kids should not know that they have the Airtag with them. This is because they might unintentionally share this information with someone who wants to harm them. So my question is. If my kids will carry an Airtag with them in example attached to the school bag, will teachers and everyone in the class get notified that there is someone’s Airtag nearby?
Book bag is the perfect example though. If the book bag is sitting in the classroom all day, will the teacher be getting notified of someone trying to track?

It's possible... If an AirTag is noticed as "following" an iPhone around it will let them know.
So it seems to be useless in this case. Obviously I can’t imagine releasing “stealth” option on Airtag as it might be misused by some people. But there is definitely some work to be done in development to fit “all” family situations
No I do not recommend tracking your airtag with your kids because an iPhone may get alerted. An airtag is mean for tracking your items like keys, book bag or like a coat or something but maybe look on Amazon for a tracker
