Connection of printer to my iPAD

Unable to connect printer to my iPAD via Wi-Fi unless I take my iPAD off line. Normally my iPAD and my HP printer are both connected to Wi-Fi at the same time.

Ran a printer Wireless Network Test which suggests I need to run the wireless setup wizard to re-enter my wireless network WPA security passphrase. I input my BT Hub’s Wireless password (which I presume is my WPA security passphase)which was accepted by the setup wizard but did not resolve the problem

Are you able to tell me what WPA security passphrase stands for?

In my IPAD WI-FI setting the printers WI-FI address appears under MY NETWORKS but I am unable to transfer this up to my Wi- Fi setting without displacing my IPAD WI-FI connection. This suggests to me my iPAD is blocking the ability to allow my IPAD and printer to work together! If this cannot be resolved my yourself I intend to visit the Edinburgh Apple Store to clarify that the problem is not due to the iPAD. If the Printer is faulty I will purchase a new one.

Unable to use my Wi-FI printer unless I take my iPAD off Wi-Fi.

Under my Wi Fi Settings my printer WiFi address appears in MY NETWORKS sections. I can move it up to the Wi-Fi section which allows me to print from the iPAD but in doing so my IPAD Wi-Fi is knocked down to the MY NETWORKS section thus disabling Wi-Fi to my iPAD.

Is there an Apple solution to this problem or is it a printer malfunction.

I have reinput my BT log in Wi-Fi password to my printer but this has not solved the problem.
