PowerPoint on iPad drawing tools are grayed out

The drawing pencil icon and drawing settings icon have become grayed out in my PowerPoint App on my iPad Pro.

It has worked previously!! I have a Microsoft 365 subscription and an iPad Pro 12.9 inch 4th generation.

Any advice or help greatly appreciated, thanks
