NFC stopped working on SE 2020

My NFC capability suddenly stopped working and I can’t find a way to troubleshoot it. It worked fine for a year previously (Apple Pay and Freestyle Libre for blood sugars). It happened overnight while lying on a table (it wasn’t acute physical damage) and was before the most recent iOS 14 update (I updated it the next day after noticing the NFC wasn’t working). I tested Apple Pay at 2 different stores. I hard rebooted the phone a couple times, signed out and back into my Apple ID, and reinstalled the Libre app. No dice. Is it likely hardware?

it could be hardware contact apple would help find out more.

all we would ask you to do is to take the cards off the phone and put them back on, if that doesn't work to reinstall the ios apple should be able to walk you through this anyway and check the hardware so the best bet is to go to them
