PDF documents default to adobe

Whenever I try to read or markup a document, Adobe reader overrides it and I cannot access it through iBooks. How do I change this setting?

Adobe Reader pdf icon not shown in email attachments After updating to macOS Ventura, Adobe Reader pdf icon disappeared in Email attachment's. Instead a little white icon is shown. This also happens with pdf files downloaded with Safari. In Finder the icons are shown correctly. I use Outlook as email program. I tried if the same happens with Apple Email app, and yes its the same. Anyone has the same problem? Any solution? I don't know if its a Ventura problem, or a Adobe Reader problem.
