You should be able to just connect the Nokia 3.4 via USB cable and tell the phone to use mass storage mode or whatever the Android 11 dialog presents. Then the phone should mount on your desktop and allow you to directly access the video and drag/drop it onto the Mac. This avoids accidentally installing malware from a non-developer download aggregation site.
Similarly, you can transfer the video using Bluetooth transfer mode between the phone and the Mac.
Nokia made software to migrate media and contacts for S60V3 phones between Windows and Macs, and the Nokia N900/N950/N9 Maemo Harmattan phones, but that software would be completely incompatible with Android Nokia phones which did not exist when that software was written.
I have tried that. When I plug the phone into my mac with the USB cable (i assume that is the same cable I use to recharge the phone) Nothing appears on my phone or the screen on the mac. have turned on blue tooth on both mac and phone but nothing appears on either ? I have a Nokia 3.4
In the Android Settings, is there a selection available that allows you to enable USB Mass Storage mode after connecting the Nokia phone to your Mac with a USB cable?
The only Nokia phone I have here is a 2011 N9 that is not running Android, and there are no Android devices in the house to work this problem from here.
Here is a link to the online Nokia's 3.4 User Guide where it discusses what you do to move photos and videos to your computer.
there are many Nokia PC Suite for Mac: download free alternatives (informer.com)
which one likely depend on if it's symbian, android or whatever operating system the nokia runs
I have an Android Nokia 3.4 Thank you I shall trust the download you pointed out. There are many online but as new user i am wary of what I download
Thanks I will have another look at the guide, I am sure I had a look but will get back here if i solve the problem.
I emailed Nokia and the answer from them is no, only windows not mac. I asked if they knew of a trusty download but I have yet to hear back
Geez, do I need to order a Nokia 3.4… 😃 Maybe the free Android File Transfer for Mac software would get the job done.
Thanks I downloaded that but no joy, my phone says no. I think my best bet is to find somebody who does it.
