Background sound in voice memo

Thank you for contacting us regarding recording voice memo with diminished background noise. You want to make sure your iPhone has the most current Software Version, Settings > General > About > Software Version > 14.5.1. "Voice Memos uses the built-in microphone on your device to record. For a higher-quality stereo recording, use an external stereo microphone." Make sure your headphones have a built in microphone and try to record the voice memo again.
