I bought some used airpods, and I realized that they are airpods 2, but with gen 1 charging case.
I verified the Serial number and it says they are Gen 2, but in the box the model number of the charging case says it is First gen (A1602), So I’m confused🤯

Yeah, but my question is if Apple sells or sold 2nd generation airpos (A2032/A2031)
with the first generation charging case (A1602) or they are only sold with the second generation charging case (A1938)?
The article linked above answers your question. As it states, the A1602 case works with both 1st and 2nd generation AirPods.
As the above article indicates, A1938 is not “the second generation charging case”. It is “the wireless charging case”.
