M1 13" Macbook Pro with XDR - no Presets, not even a popup

Is this normal?
I have the XDR plugged directly into the Macbook Pro M1 using the XDR cable.
MacBook Pro (2020 and later)
No answers here? Does anybody else have an XDR with an M1 Macbook Pro or Air or Mini? If so, do you see the presets enabling 1600 nits?
