Hey yuli66,

Here are a couple Apple Support articles about SIM card issues. Something you may want to keep in mind is that an older SIM card will not allow the iPhone 12 to access the new 5G network.

If you can't activate your iPhone - Apple Support

If you see 'invalid SIM' or 'no SIM' on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
