can't block group text spam not everyone iphone

We understand you're unable to block a group text message that appears to be spam, and that one or more of the users in this group text are not using an Apple device with iMessage.

While everyone needs to be using iMessage to Leave a group text message on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, you can mute the conversation so you don't get notifications. Please note that selecting Hide Alerts stops notifications for a specific group text message, but not for all the messages on your device. You'll still receive all other messages and notifications.

You can also Block phone numbers, contacts, and emails on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. Although you're unable to leave a group text message if one or more users in the group text are not using an Apple device with iMessage, in addition to muting the conversation, you should be able to block specific phone numbers, contacts, and email addresses. If you're unable to do this, can you tell us what happens when you try?
