Set, change, or remove a Screen Time passcode on Mac


The Administrator of this computer will need to be contacted for the passcode.

If the passcode is regarding Screen Time (an app tells you that time is up), P. Philip's answer is correct.


If you see a grey screen with a passcode entry field on it, with the options "Sleep", "Shut Down", "Restart", your Mac was locked via Find My Mac. You may be able to retrieve it online using a computer. On your computer, click this link to access Find My: https://icloud.com/find
