Screen mirroring to my macbook air

I cannot get my iPad to screen mirror to my MacBook air, how could I connect the two devices?

If you're wanting to use Sidecar, check the iPad's compatibility list here:

Your MacBook Air needs to be a 2018 model or later and be running macOS Catalina or later.


Sidecar uses your iPad to mirror what is on your MacBook...not from the iPad to the MacBook.
