Transferring photos to hard disk

Hi all,

I have been trying to transfer my photos and/or videos to my external hard disk with my window laptop.

  1. I started selecting all the photos at one go, so as to save time, there was an error message showing that the transfer fail.
  2. I tried selecting a random few ones, the error messages prompt up again.
  3. I assume that my wire was not authentic as my colleagues will share around wires and they might swap mine with a "pirated" one, so I went to the apple store to get a new wire and the same message prompted me yet again.
  4. I read one of the comments/question here and I double checked that my icloud is not sync with my phone (I did not purchase any upgrade of data ono my icloud wont be able to sync in as well since the basic 5gb will not be able to support my ipxs Max - 128gb)
  5. Error messages shown "Error Transferring", "The device is not responding"

I like to know if anyone faces the same problem and is there any solution to this?

Thank you very much
