My iPhone 7 will not record audio
My iPhone 7 is not recording audio in any app. In the camera app, the mute button is enabled but it is gray so I can’t click it. The Siri also is not picking up any sound.

Dear maine,
your issue could be management policy related (if for example your device is managed by an organization, in this case you can't solve it) or privacy related.
In the second case you can solve it through Control access to hardware features on iPhone - Apple Supporthttps://support.apple.com › ios
It means that some settings are managed by a profile installed on the phone by your organization, and you can't change these settings without deleting this profile.
To see if your phone is managed by a profile, please go through Settings-->General-->Device Management.
If there's a profile in it, click on it and then press "restrictions". There you'll find all prohibited functions by the profile.
Yup it’s definitely a the first one... all of the not working apps are checked. So what does the management thing mean?
