Malware infection?

I keep getting multiple notifications on my screen (with the Chrome logo)... "Your Mac is infected? checkrobotics.com" I scanned for viruses with Intego software, but this has apparently not been found or removed? How do I get rid of this?

Uninstall all browser extensions.

Start your computer in safe mode to disable all third party startup items.

If using Safari browser, quit Safari then while pressing and holding the shift ket launch Safari. This will start Safari in a clean state.

Download and run MalwareBytes free version. Only get it from the official site.

Also, See if you have unknown Profiles.

To remove a configuration profile in macOS:

  1. From the Apple menu, select System Preferences....
  2. From the View menu in System Preferences, select Profiles.Note:
  3. Profiles won't be visible until you have at least one profile installed.
  4. Select the profile you want to remove, and then press the - (minus) button. Click Remove to remove the profile.
