I am really disappointed to find the Apple Watch is not compatible to use with IPad. I have subscribed to Apple Fitness and would be far better to watch and follow classes on an iPad rather than a phone.
is there any plan to address this and make the watch compatible with an iPad?

Thanks for the reply. Sorry I should have worded better. I can view the fitness app on iPad but I what I meant was I can’t pair it to my watch and so doesn’t show any activity on watch or iPad.
Apple Fitness+ compatibility.
Apple Fitness+ requires Apple Watch Series 3 or later with watchOS 7.2 or later and one of the following Apple devices: iPhone 6s or later with iOS 14.3 or later, iPad with iPadOS 14.3or later, Apple TV 4K with tvOS 14.3 or later Apple TV HD with tvOS 14.3 or later.
