iMessage audio message isn’t working

When trying to record an audio message it won’t work it stays at zero meaning there isn’t anything being recorded and I’ve already restarted my phone and it still won’t work

Yes I am able to send other messages as expected just the only thing I cannot send are the audio messages on iMessage and yes my microphone does work for other uses I’ve tried the voice memos and it works perfectly fine

Thanks for those additional details.

Do you notice this when trying to send audio messages to different contacts?

If you connect headphones with an included microphone, EarPods, or AirPods to your iPhone and try to send an audio message, do you experience the same issue?

Also, if you have a case on your iPhone, try removing it and check for the issue again.
