I have book downloaded from iPad mini. When synced with new iPod touch book doesn’t play when I am offline.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. We understand that you're unable to play a book when your iPod touch is offline, so we'd like to see how we can help. We noticed that you've reviewed: Redownload apps, music, movies, TV shows, and books. Are you unable to redownload the book directly to your iPod touch with these steps: Redownload books and audiobooks. Do you notice that this happens with just the one book or does it happen with multiple books? Does the book work on the iPad mini that it was originally downloaded to?
