Uninstall MacKeeper and any other cleaning apps, anti-virus apps, or third party security software by following the developer's instructions. These types of apps are not needed on a Mac and usually cause more problems than they solve plus they impact system performance.

In addition to @dominic23's excellent advice you may want to run the Apple Diagnostics to see if any hardware issues are detected. To look for possible software issues run EtreCheck and post the report here using the "Additional Text" icon which looks like a piece of paper.

If you have the 15" or 17" model, then you may have a bad GPU. You can try to force the laptop to use the Intel GPU instead by running gfxCardStatus:

Edit: Also just thought that you may have bad memory. The memory slot nearest the Bottom Case many times develops cracked solder joints after a few years. If the memory slot has cracked solder joints, then holding the laptop or pressing on it (especially on the center of the Bottom Case) can trigger a system freeze and/or graphical glitches on the screen. Removing the memory module nearest the Bottom Case can prevent this issue. You may also want to check that the other memory module nearest the Keyboard is still latched in place by pressing on it. Many times that memory module becomes loose especially when inserting or removing the memory module nearest the Bottom Case since both modules share the same latching arm.
