When I ask Siri to play audio I don't want it to turn on Apple TV, just the pods

When I ask Siri to play audio ("Hey Siri, play Apple News Today") I don't want it to turn on Apple TV, just the pods that I have. Siri always turns on the Apple TVs too.

How do I setup to minimize this? I've tried using "favorites" just of pods, putting devices in different virtual "rooms" in Home, but the proper command becomes such a mouthful for Siri and rarely does what I'd like.

I must be missing something.

I have a homepod and two minis in different rooms:

** homepod=kitchen

** mini=[bedroom, living room]

Apple TV = [living room, bedroom].

** I would love to be able to specify audio content to go here and not turn on the TVs when I do.

Thanks!

HomePod, 14

Ok, sorry... minutes later. I think the solution is to not include the Apple TVs in Home app (which may have some negative consequences for other automation). I think it solves my issue. Now, when I say, "Hey Siri play Apple News Today everywhere" it only does so to the devices that are configured in Home, i.e., just the two minis and the HomePod.

If I did however want a mixed configuration, or different things at different times, it would be nice to be able to configure it.
